Population and Community Health Analytics
A growing body of evidence suggests that factors outside of the clinical setting significantly influence patient health outcomes. Population and community health analytics offers valuable insights into these factors. This module trains students to use technical knowledge and analytical tools to make informed decisions to protect and improve community health. Students learn how to assess population health and consider the best ways to share these findings.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Assess the population health needs of a community and use data to identify solutions regarding health inequities.
- Describe incentives to addressing population and community health to policymakers and decision-makers in health systems.
- Communicate between public health, health care and social services systems regarding community health needs.
