As an MPH@GW student you will have the option to take up to 15 credits on the George Washington University campus in the heart of Washington, D.C.
This hybrid MPH program option offers you the opportunity to experience GW’s on-campus and online formats — spending time in Foggy Bottom while still having the flexibility that MPH@GW offers.
The core curriculum is the same, and GW faculty teach both online and on-campus courses. You will work with the same advisor regardless of the mode of delivery.
When considering this hybrid option, you should keep in mind that the on-campus semesters do not align with online terms, which could affect graduation timing. On-campus courses are taught in 14-week semesters with three semesters per year. Online courses are taught in 11-week quarters with four quarters per year.
If you would like to take on-campus classes and use financial aid resources to cover personal and living expenses, you must enroll in more than four and a half on-campus credits for a given term. We recommend confirming these estimated financial aid changes with the financial aid office before making your decision.
